Balasore: Unidentified miscreants looted gold and silver ornaments from two Shiva temples at Sabira village under Soro police limits in Balasore district late on Sunday.
The matter came to the fore after a priest opened the gate of one of the temples this morning.
A complaint in this regard has been lodged at Soro police station by the temple authorities, alleging that some miscreants entered the temple premises after breaking open the main door and decamped with the valuables.
On April 11, donation boxes and other valuables worth several lakhs of rupees were looted from seven temples including, Patrasuni, Hanuman, Jagulei and Radha Krushna, in the same village. However, no arrests have so far been made in connection with these loot cases.
