Miscreants Decamp With Rs 1.75 Lakh From Businessman In Keonjhar

Anandpur: Two unidentified miscreants on Monday looted Rs 1.75 lakh from a businessman near Ghasipura area in Keonjhar district.

The businessman was standing near a tiffin stall when two miscreants came on a motorcycle and snatched away the bag, containing the money, from him.

According to sources, the incident took place when the victim was returning from Anandpur State Bank of India after withdrawing cash for his daughter’s wedding.

Following the incident, he lodged a complaint at local police station.

Police later reached the spot and questioned the locals. They are also examining the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops and other places to identify the looters, sources added.
