Sonepur: Unidentified miscreants decamped with donation box of Patali Srikhetra Jagannath temple and looted the money.
The miscreants also fled with Pata Saree and some silver items from the temple located on Trikut hill at Kotsamalai in Sonepur district.
Temple priest Guna Panda had gone to the temple to perform daily rituals early Wednesday morning when he found the donation box and Pata saree of Lord Jagannath missing and informed Patali Srikhetra committee.
On being informed by the committee, police reached the spot and started investigation. The broken donation box was found at the foothill.
