Samablpur: Two unidentified miscreants decamped with Rs 11 lakh from motorcycle dickey of a businessman in Odisha’s Sambalpur city on Tuesday.

As per reports, the incident took place when the businessman had gone to open his air-conditioner repair shop at Mudipara in the city at around 12 noon. While he was opening the locks of the shop after parking the bike in front of it, the miscreants came there on another bike.

The miscreants broke open the lock of the dickey of the trader’s motorcycle and fled on their bike with the money bag. Though the businessman gave a chase to them, he failed to catch hold of the looters.

Later, the businessman filed a complaint at Sambalpur Town police station. He stated that he had withdrawn some amount from his accounts in two banks earlier. He had kept the amount along with some cash he had with him in the bag. He suspected that the miscreants were following him from the banks.
