Miscreants Fire At Man, Loot Rs 1 Lakh In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: Three miscreants fired at an employee of a private finance company and robbed him of Rs 1 lakh in Athagarh of the district on Thursday.

According to sources, employee, identified as Kitish Ranjan Bhanja, was going to Athagarh after collecting money from his clients when the miscreants stopped him at Khuntakata near Anshupa Square of the block and opened fire. As Kitish fell down, the miscreants snatched the cash bag and fled.

An injured Kitish called his friends who rushed to the spot and took him to Athgarh hospital. Later, he was referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Athagarh police have registered a case in this regard and launched investigation.
