Dhenkanal: Unidentified miscreants allegedly hurled a crude bomb at the house of a businessman at Khamar Sahi in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district on Sunday.
As per preliminary information, two unknown bike-borne persons threw a crude bomb at the house of a builder and businessman located at Khamar Sahi under the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station. The businessman was identified as Sushant Kumar Sahu.
Sources said the incident took place after the builder reportedly received a threatening phone call from an anonymous caller.
While no one was injured in the incident, the bomb explosion partially damaged the main entrance gate of Sahu’s residence. As per CCTV footage, the miscreants fled the scene immediately after hurling the bomb.
On being informed about the incident, a police team visited the spot and started an investigation. CCTV camera footage is being thoroughly examined. The exact reason behind the bombing is yet to be ascertained. Efforts are on to identify and trace the miscreants.
