Cuttack: In a bizarre incident, unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at four places in Rameswar village under Salepur tehsil in Cuttack district on Saturday. However, no injury or loss of property was reported.
According to sources, a group of unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants hurled bombs when construction work for a canal was underway in the locality and fled the spot immediately.
Being alerted about the incident, police rushed to the spot and started inquiry.
The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be known. However, locals of the area suspect that the assailants might have hurled bombs to terrorise the contractor, who is carrying out the construction work of the canal.
