Balasore: Unidentified miscreants looted cash from Allahabad Bank’s Parikhi branch under Sadar block in Balasore district by breaking its shutter on Tuesday night.
The locals on Wednesday morning found the shutter broken and informed the police.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation.
The exact amount of cash looted is yet to be ascertained.
A cement and iron rod shop near the bank was also looted the same night. It is suspected to be the handiwork of the same miscreants.
Meanwhile, the irate locals have blocked the road demanding immediate action.
