Miscreants Loot Gold Ornaments From Woman In Guise Of Police

Berhampur: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted gold ornaments from a woman in the guise of police here on Sunday.

The victim, Sanjukta Padhi, has lodged a complaint in this regard at Gosani Nuagaon police station.

According to the FIR, four miscreants on a two motorcycles intercepted Sanjukta, who was out for a morning walk. Posing as police officers, they asked the woman to take off all the gold ornaments she was wearing to avoid a possible theft. Even as she was taking them off, the looters snatched away the ornaments weighing around 15 grams and fled the spot.

Police have launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants.
