Bhubaneswar: In a broad daylight heist, a group of unidentified miscreants looted valuables worth several lakhs of rupees from a house in Sailashree Vihar here on Monday.
According to available information, the miscreants entered the house of Santosh Behera by breaking open the window from the backyard when the family members were out.
On reaching home, Santosh found his valuables, including TV, laptop and a music system missing. Later, he discovered that his car and a scooter were also missing.
The cops reached soon after the victim lodged an FIR.
Police have started an inquiry after verifying footage of the CCTV cameras installed in nearby houses and shops. Raids are also being conducted at different places.
