Balangir: Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 50,000 from a couple returning from a bank after withdrawing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana incentive at Belapada in Odisha’s Balangir on Wednesday.
According to sources, the incident took place when Parakhita Banchhor of Damermunda village and his wife were returning home after withdrawing the money from SBI. The miscreants broke open the dicky of his two-wheeler and fled with the money when they stopped on their way to purchase fruits.
The two-wheeler was parked in front of the shop.
