Khurda: Three unidentified miscreants looted a motorcycle and Rs 15 lakh from the employee of a petrol pump on NH-16 near OCC Chhak in Khurda district on Monday.
According to available information, the victim identified as Braja Kishore Natua, an employee of Bhairavi petrol pump in Malipada, was heading towards Khurda town on a motorcycle to deposit money in a bank when three motorcycle-borne miscreants intercepted him.
“The looters attacked me with an axe when I attempted to resist the loot and snatched away the bag containing the cash”, Natua said.
On being alerted, Sadar police rushed to the spot and started investigation.
A police team has been formed and raids are being conducted in and around the town to nab the criminals.
