Balasore: Miscreants looted Rs 2.5 lakh from a man near Nilagiri branch of Axis Bank on Thursday.
As per sources, the man had drawn the money from State Bank of India and was on his way to deposit the amount in Axis Bank when the incident occurred.
On being informed about the incident, Nilagiri Police have reached the spot and started a probe into the matter.
Earlier, this month some unidentified miscreants had looted lakhs of rupees by breaking open two ATM machines in Soro of the district late Wednesday night. One of the ATMs was of Axis Bank while the other belongs to a private finance company.
