Berhampur: Miscreants hurled a bomb at Utkal Gramya Bank at Manitara in Berhampur and looted cash to the tune of Rs 4 lakh and gold ornaments on Wednesday.
According to a senior bank official, six armed miscreants came on three motorcycles around 3:30 pm, they barged into the bank and held the employees at gunpoint. They later broke the locker and decamped with the cash and gold ornaments after hurling a bomb near the bank.
On being informed about the dacoity, a police team, including Bhanjanagar SDPO, reached the spot and started investigation.
