Miscreants Slit Businessman’s Throat & Snatch Rs 6,000 In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants allegedly slit of a businessman and looted Rs 6,000 from him in Damana area of Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Sibananda Barik, a local businessman who runs a shop in the area.

According to reports, Barik was on his way to open his shop when two miscreants approached him and asked for money. When he refused, the miscreants attacked him with a sharp weapon and snatched Rs 6,000 from him before fleeing the spot.

The locals rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. After treatment, was discharged and sent back home.

The businessman lodged an FIR in the Chandrasekharpur police station regarding the incident and the police have initiated a probe. Efforts are on to identify and nab the miscreants.
