Bhubaneswar: Three bike-borne miscreants allegedly snatched a gold chain from a woman out for a morning walk in the Odisha capital on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, the miscreants intercepted one Manorama Sahu near the Jharpada jail and snatched her gold chain after threatening her with a sharp weapon.
She fell down while resisting the assailants, who then fled the area, and sustained minor injuries.
Soon after the incident, Sahu lodged a complaint at the Laxmisagar police station.
Police have recovered footage from CCTV cameras in the area for further investigation, the sources added.
This is the third such incident this year.
On January 21, two snatching incidents were reported at Banamalipur and Ghatikia, on the outskirts of the city.
