Bhubaneswar: Two bike-borne miscreants snatched the mobile phone of a girl student near VSS Nagar area in the Odisha capital on Saturday afternoon.
According to sources, the miscreants snatched the phone from Dhritidipta Nayak, a journalism student of Utkal University.
Though Dhritidipta fought with the snatchers, they managed to escape.
Hearing her scream, Dhritidipta’s fellow student Rabi Mandal rushed to the spot and followed the looters till Sainik School area. The snatchers hit a truck and fell down. They fled from the spot leaving the bike behind.
Dhritidipta filed an FIR at the Saheed Nagar police station.
