Miscreants Snatch Woman’s Mobile Phone, Make Online Purchases From Bank Account In Odisha’s Balasore

Bhubaneswar: An insurance agent lost her savings of Rs 3.5 lakh after some miscreants snatched her mobile phone a few days back.

The woman, who identified herself as a resident of Chhatrali village under Soro of Balasore district, said two persons stole her mobile phone. A man from Bahanaga along with her friends came to her and while they were talking one of them snatched her phone.

Later, the miscreants used the mobile phone for online purchases worth Rs 3.5 lakh and made payments from her account.

She learnt about the transactions when she went to update her passbook in the bank. She has lodged a complaint against 3 persons at Soro Police Station and efforts are on to trace the three.
