Bhubaneswar: Some unidentified miscreants took away the automated teller machine from a kiosk on the outskirts of the capital city late Monday night.
According to police sources, the miscreants with their faces covered with masks came to the ATM kiosk of State Bank of India (SBI) at Indira Colony in Sisupalgarh late night. They cut the cash dispensing machine with a gas cutter and took it away.
The footage in the CCTV camera installed in the kiosk revealed the miscreants dragging the machine weighing more than 3 quintals out of the building which did not have any security guard. The teller machine contained more than Rs 17 lakh, the source said.
On being informed, personnel from Dhauli police station reached the spot along with a scientific team and launched investigation. Efforts are on to identify the miscreants.
