Mishap Death Triggers Mob Fury On Bhubaneswar Outskirts

Bhubaneswar: Irate residents set a truck on fire following the death of a youth in an accident at Balakati on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

According to reports, the yet to be identified youth died on the spot after a speeding truck hit his bike on Bhargabi bridge near Balakati. The truck driver fled the scene leaving his vehicle behind. Angry locals rushed to the spot and torched the truck.

Later, police reached the scene and sent the youth’s body for post-mortem. Efforts are on to catch the truck driver, police said.
