Jeypore: With the highest single-day spike of 146 positive cases in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Koraput district rose to 2,363 on Friday, the Odisha government tweeted.
The district administration, however, later tweeted that three of the 146 cases are repeat cases while another one belongs to the Rayagada district.
Giving the details of the 142 cases, it said that the highest of 26 have been reported from Koraput municipality, followed by 21 from Jeypore municipality, 12 each from Koraput block, Kundra and Bandhugaon, 11 each from Jeypore and Dasmantapur block, nine from Pottangi, seven each from Narayanpatna and Nandapur, four each from Borigumma and Sunabeda, two each from Boipariguda and Kotpad and one each from Laxmipur and Semiliguda.
Among them, 77 are direct contacts of previous cases, 57 are local contact cases while the remaining eight have been detected from quarantine centres.
