Cuttack: The body of a 16-year-old boy, who went missing around four days ago, was found near Kathajodi river bridge in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Tuesday. The body of the Class X student was lying near the bridge.
According to sources, the minor boy had gone missing four days ago. His family members had launched a frantic search and then lodged a complaint with the Madhupatna police after failing to trace him.
Following the complaint, the police had launched a search operation and finally the boy’s body was found near the river bridge in Gopalpur area in the morning.
On being informed, family members reached the spot and identified the body.
The deceased was identified as Sahil Jena of Kalyan Nagar area in Cuttack city. He was student of Class X in Daraghapatna school in Satsang Vihar. He had reportedly gone to school on Friday, but did not return.
While the exact cause of the death will be ascertained after postmortem, police have launched an investigation.
