Nabarangpur: A couple was found hanging from a tree near Pipalpadar llage under Jharigaon block in Nabarangpur district on Monday.
They have been identified as Sanadhar Jani (20) and Jumari Jani (22), both natives of Temera panchayat in Jharigaon block.
According to sources, the couple went missing on Sunday. Some locals spotted them hanging from a tree inside the forest and informed the villagers and the police.
On being informed, the Dabugaon police reached the spot and seized the bodies for postmortem.
Though the exact cause behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that they committed suicide.
Investigation into the matter is on.
