Balangir: The body of a finance company employee, who had been missing for the last two days, was found hanging from a tree inside a forest in Kantabanji area of Odisha’s Balangir district on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Sabiliyat Harpal of Paikmal area in Bargarh district, was staying and working in Kantabanji town.
Sources said Harpal had gone missing two days ago and the manager of the company had lodged a complaint in this regard with the Kantabanji police.
Some locals spotted the body hanging from a tree in the forest this morning and informed the police.
After getting information, police personnel rushed to the spot, recovered the body and launched a probe. The body was sent for postmortem.
A motorcycle and a bag were found near the body.
It it not clear whether the man died by suicide or was murdered.
