Sundargarh: A minor girl, who had been missing since Tuesday, was found hanging in Kustuna forest under Badagaon police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Wednesday.
While her family alleged that she was raped and then murdered in the forest, police have detained a youth, identified as Rakesh Kisan of Gadiajora, after tracking his mobile phone. Efforts are on to trace and nab his two associates. The body has also been sent for postmortem
Sources said that Rakesh took the deceased to the forest around noon on Tuesday. Her family looked for her in vain when she did not return home and police last night.
