Balasore: Posters claiming that Union Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Pratap Sarangi had been ‘missing’ were found pasted on walls in streets of Balasore town on Sunday amid the coronavirus pandemic which has infected over 152 in the district.
While one poster read, “Our MP is missing. Please help us to find him – Balasore people”, another was a public appeal, “He has not been seen in Balasore since long. Help us to find him.”
Sarangi, 64, had won the Balasore parliamentary seat on a BJP ticket in the 2019 elections by a margin of 12956 votes and was hailed as the ‘Modi of Odisha’ because his humble background and frugal way of living.
