Angul: Did a sarpanch candidate, Manoj Kumar Sethi, plan his own kidnapping? Sethi, a sarpanch candidate from Machhakuta panchayat in Chhendipada block of Angul district, was found in his in-laws’ house in Deogarh district.
According to reports, Sethi had gone for campaigning two days back and did not return home. After a futile search, his family members lodged a complaint at Chhendipada police station alleging that he was kidnapped.
Police swung into action and after interrogation and inquiry of several acquaintances of Sethi, Chhendipada Police visited his father-in-law house at Sanghapasi village under Kundheigola police limits of Deogarh district and found him there.
Police said they tracked his mobile phone to Sanghapasi village and reached the place hoping Sethi would be present there. On reaching the house, they found Sethi in is in-laws’ house and brought him back.
