Bhubaneswar: A day after two Class X students went missing in Bhubaneswar, police on Wednesday traced them to Titlagarh in Odisha’s Balangir district.
A team of Chandaka police and some of the family members of the students have left for Titilagarh to bring the duo back to the city, sources said, adding that they are at the police station there.
It is being alleged that eight masked miscreants kidnapped the two minor boys after making them unconscious while they were on their way to school the previous dat. They, however, managed to escape from the clutches of the abductors and telephoned their family members. “After gaining consciousness, they called and informed us about their location. However, they were unable to identify the kidnappers,” said father of one of the students.
The two students of a private school in Sundarpur area under Chandaka police limits were found missing around 10 am on Tuesday. The school authorities told the parents that they did not attend school. The families lodged a complaint with police late night after failing to trace them.
