Missing Student’s Body Fished Out Of Paradip Sea

Paradip: The body of a student, who had gone missing in the sea in Paradip on Tuesday, was fished out this morning.

The body of deceased student of Kendriya Vidyalaya identified as Anshuman Das, was fished out by fire services officials near Hanuman at around 5 am.

A boat carrying coastguards to rescue the student had capsized in the sea last evening.

Fortunately, the four coastguards who were engaged in the operation managed to swim ashore. However, their equipment got damaged in the water. As a result, the operation to trace and rescue the student had to be stopped.

Three students drowned in Paradip Sea on Tuesday morning during the Swachh Bharat programme organised by the local municipality on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Two of them were rescued while the third one went missing.
