Missing Youth Found Hanging In Forest After 2 Days In Odisha’s Balangir

Balangir: A youth, who had gone missing for the last two days, was found hanging in a forest of Odisha’s Balangir district on Sunday.

According to sources, the youth, identified as Raj Bagarti of Hirasagarpada under Belpada police station in Patnagarh of the district, left his home on some personal work two days back, but did not return the same day.

Raj’s family enquired about him from their relatives and his friends for the entire day. As they could not know his whereabouts, the family lodged a missing complaint at the police station.

The police registered a case and started investigation to trace Raj. While they also failed to find him, Raj was found hanging from a tree in a forest near Padampur village under Belpada police station on Sunday morning.

The police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. While they suspected it to be a suicide case, Raj’s family members have not found any cause for him to take the extreme step.
