Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who is in-charge of Mission Shakti, reviewed work of the department and asserted that all steps will be taken to achieve the goal of ‘Viksit Odisha.’
After holding detailed discussion with senior officials of the department, the Deputy CM said that the government will give further momentum to the operations of Mission Shakti in coming days to make it more vibrant.
“Mission Shakti will enable us to fulfil the dream of Viksit Odisha. It is the only department which is capable of helping the state to become developed and prosperous,” she told media.
Stating that Mission Shakti functions at the micro level, the Minister said it is closely connected with at least 19 government departments as well as the UN agency.
Apart from making Odisha number one state, it will bring complete transformation in social and economic condition of the state and its people in next 100 days, she said.
Dismissing speculations about the future of the department, Parida said the very fact that a Deputy CM has been given charge of Mission Shakti demonstrates its significance. The department will not only continue but also function with accelerated speed to empower women and ensure overall growth of the state, she added.
