Berhampur: Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) has completed the health screening of one lakh people under Mission Zero COVID-19 in the city within three days, including 40,000 on Saturday.
A BeMC official said only three people were found to have fever on Saturday after the screening for both non-communicable and infectious diseases such as COVID-19, tuberculosis, malaria, dengue and diarrhoea. No other symptoms were found in the others.
With the number of coronavirus cases increasing in Ganjam district, BeMC had launched the campaign on Thursday to contain the spread of the virus in Berhampur and reduce the number of COVID-19 patients in the city to zero.
It had set up 70 health teams for this purpose with each team being headed by an AYUSH-registered doctor.
