Cuttack: The Odisha government on Tuesday informed the Orissa High Court that a total of 870 trees will be felled for the construction of apartments in Bhubaneswar for MLAs and that 8,700 trees —10 times of the number felled — would be planted.
The state government informed the HC that the felling of trees and other activities for the construction of apartments for MLAs were being carried out withing the provisions of law.
