Mo Bus Driver Not At Fault, CRUT Issues Clarification On Accident With Cuttack ADM’s SUV

Bhubaneswar: Hours after a Mo Bus dashed into the SUV of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Cuttack at Raj Bhavan square in Odisha capital, the  Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) issued a clarification with video evidence, exonerating the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.

“The incident has been gravely misunderstood and we would like to take this opportunity to clarify the situation. It is important to note that the Mo Bus driver was not at fault in this accident. We have conducted a thorough investigation and the video footage shared clearly shows that the driver was driving within the designated speed limit and was in complete control of the vehicle,” it said.

The CRUT further added that the driver reacted quickly and responsibly to the unforeseen circumstances, preventing an even more tragic outcome.

“We understand that accidents can be traumatic and unsettling and we want to assure our commuters and the general public that we take all incidents seriously. We hope that this clarification provides some much-needed clarity and we pledge to continue doing our utmost to ensure the safety and comfort of our commuters,” it added.

The Cuttack ADM, who was on his way to the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to take a flight to New Delhi, had escaped with minor injuries in the accident while those travelling in the bus were state to be safe.
