Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) on Thursday launched monthly passes for its popular Mo Bus service.
The passes are an alternative for people, particularly the older generation, who are not tech-savvy and school children who want to avail the monthly discount pass offered online.
There are 2 types of passes—Magic pass for all rides and Bhubaneswar pass for intra-city rides. Here are the prices:
Magic pass:
AC — Rs 1800
Non-AC — Rs 1200
Bhubaneswar pass:
AC — Rs 900
Non-AC — Rs 600
As part of the launch offer, users can avail 25 per cent discount and 5 days extra validity if they buy the passes before August 31. They will get a free ICICI Odyssey card as an Independence Day Gift which they can use for Common Payment Card System (CPCS) in the city to make quick and easy payments for property tax, water bills, vehicle parking fees and Mo Bus rides as well.
The passes will be available at kiosks located near bus queue shelters at Master Canteen, Fire Station, Rasulgarh, Vani Vihar, KIIT (Big Bazaar) in Bhubaneswar. Users need to present a stamp size photograph, identity card (only PAN, Aadhar Card or Driving License) along with cash or card.
The Freedom monthly passes have a MO BUS QR Code & dynamic serial number series, and hence can be used by only the same person on whose name it is issued.
