Bhubaneswar: Launching the Mo Sarkar programme in Odisha on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Wednesday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke to the people and took their feedback on the services provided to them in police stations and hospitals.
From Naveen Niwas, the Chief Minister directly talked to the people in Balangir, Sundargarh, Malkangiri Jajpur and Baripada on the healthcare service in government hospitals. He thanked them for their feedback.
Besides, he also took feedback from the people in Nayagah and Bhawanipatna regarding the services at the police stations. “I spoke to nine men and women regarding corruption and harassment at the police stations today. The report that I got back was extremely satisfactory,” Naveen said.
Later in the evening, the Chief Minister launched the Mo Sarkar scheme at the Capital Hospital and Saheed Nagar Police Station.
The Mo Sarkar scheme was launched in all police stations, 21 district headquarters hospitals and three government medical colleges and hospitals in Cuttack, Berhampur and Burla in the first phase on Wednesday. The scheme will be launched in the remaining district headquarters hospitals by October 30 and all government departments by March 5, 2020.
Under the Mo Sarkar programme, the phone number of the people coming to different government offices will be collected randomly and registered. After this, an SMS will be sent to their numbers within 24 hours. If the SMS is not received or the number is not registered, the concerned person can give a missed call to 14545 and get his/her number registered.
The Chief Minister, departmental ministers and secretaries and the Director General of Police (DGP) will call random numbers to get feedback.
The employees will be ranked as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ on the basis of the feedback. Those with good rank will get the out-of-turn promotion while action will be taken against those with a bad rank. The identity of the persons giving negative feedback will be kept secret.
