Cuttack: Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani has joined the bandwagon of bureaucrats, who have adopted schools on the call of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for their holistic development under the ‘Mo School’ initiative this year.
Chayani has adopted the oldest high school of Athagarh, Biswanath Bidyapitha.
The collector visited the school and enquired about the problems and facilities there on Wednesday.
Notably, Chayani studied in this school from 1976 to 1979. He completed his Class X from here and had stood among best 10 students in Odisha.
He expressed his happiness over adopting his alma mater and promised to work for the development of Biswanath Bidyapitha.
Athagarh Sub-Collector Ajambara Mohanty, tehsildar Tapan Kumar Khuntia, and school headmaster Rudra Narayan Samal were present.
