Bhubaneswar: The miscreants have again targeted Mo Bus for stealing mobile phone in Bhubaneswar as a passenger filed a police complaint regarding theft of his cellphone on Monday.
According to sources, the passenger, identified as Abhimanyu Jena was travelling in the Mo Bus to Acharya Vihar. As he was about to get down at Acharya Vihar chhak, he found his mobile phone missing. As he created a ruckus in the bus over the theft, a team from Sahidnagar police station reached there.
The police pacified an agitated Abhimanyu and made him to get down from the bus. Later, he filed a complaint at the police station. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
It may be noted that six mobile phones were looted inside the Mo Bus which was en route to Cuttack from Nandankanan Zoological Park on January 1.
The police had arrested 7 members of a gang on December 20 last year for their alleged involvement in looting Mo Bus passengers. Nine cellphones and Rs 57,000 in cash were recovered from them.
