Modern Star Wins Triveni Cricket Cup In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The 13th edition of Triveni Day and Night Cricket Tournament concluded here on Sunday, with Modern Star emerging champions. They defeated Jaguar team to clinch the title.

A total of 32 teams had participated in the event, which was held for four days from May 9 at a local ground in IRC Village area.

Sushil Kumar Barik bagged the best captain award while Rakesh Pandey was adjudged as the man of the match.

Chief guest Priyadarshi Mishra, MLA Bhubaneswar (North) handed over a cash prize of Rs 50,000 to the runners–up team Jaguar, while Sagar Ranjan Swain, Managing director of Triveni group of industries, the organiser handed over the trophy and the trophy and cash prize of Rs 100,000 lakh to the champion team Modern Star.

The tennis ball cricket tournament is one-of-a-kind event which is held in Bhubaneswar annually.
