Bhubaneswar: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, many prominent universities worldwide have resorted to either deferment or cancellation of examinations. Following suit, netizens in India have now launched a movement appealing for postponement of the NEET and JEE examinations 2020, with memes, creatives and opinion online.
Activists, social media influencers, politicians, journalists, students and several others on Twitter commented on the MODIJI_POSTPONEJEENEET hashtag which is trending at the top with 2.82 million tweets. The campaign called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National Testing Agency to postpone NEET and JEE in view of rising COVID-19 cases in India.

The JEE Main examinations have been rescheduled to take place from September 1-6, 2020. It was originally scheduled to be held in July.
Meanwhile, NEET 2020, has now been scheduled to take place on September 13, 2020, as National Testing Agency (NTA) advised the students to start collecting admit cards on August 28 or August 29.
