Raipur: A principal of a private school in Chhattisgarh’s Surajpur district has been arrested for allegedly molesting two minor girl students.
According to Kotwali station house officer Prakash Rathore, the two girls, of classes 5 and 7, complained to their parents after reaching home that the principal had molested them in his office chamber.
The parents immediately lodged a complaint, following which the police arrested the 45-year-old principal.
The accused was booked under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the official said.
The school owner, on the other hand, lodged a police complaint against parents of some students for allegedly beating him up after the molestation charge.
