Mumbai: Actor Pracheen Chauhan, who shot to fame with ‘Kasautii Zindagi Kay’, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly molesting a woman in an inebriated state.
He has been booked under Section 354 (assault or use of criminal force on woman, intending to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code on the basis of a complaint lodged by the woman, police said.
This incident took place at a party hosted by Chauhan on Thursday night at his residence. “The complainant had gone to his house along with her friend, where the actor allegedly consumed alcohol and touched her inappropriately in an inebriated state,” said an officer.
