New Delhi: A special court for Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on Friday granted bail to former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar on a bond of Rs 5 lakh.
Kochhar, who appeared before the special PMLA court in connection with the ICICI Bank-Videocon money laundering case, has been barred from leaving the country without the court’s permission.
The PMLA court took cognizance of Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) chargesheet on January 30 and had summoned Kochhar, her husband Deepak Kochhar, Videocon Group promoter Venugopal Dhoot and others accused in the case.
