Money Stolen From Bengaluru Recovered From Youth In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Police on Friday recovered Rs 4 lakh of money stolen from Bengaluru from the house of a youth in the district on Friday.

According to sources, the youth, identified as Biswamitra Acharya of a village under Simulia police limits was working at a medicine store in Bengaluru. He had allegedly stolen Rs 20 lakh and gold ornaments from the house of the medicine store and fled.

After committing the crime, Biswamitra went to stay in Hyderabad for some days to avoid police. Later, he returned to his village with the stolen money.

Bengaluru police was informed by Simulia police about his return. A team of Bengaluru police raided his house and seized the money which was stashed in a rice basket.

Bengaluru police with the help of Simulia police arrested Biswamitra from Khaira area and further investigation is on.
