Bhubaneswar: Southwest monsoon has arrived in Odisha on Friday.
According to the regional meteorological centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here, the monsoon arrived in the state two days ahead of the scheduled date.
Heavy rainfall is expected to occur over several places of south Odisha.
However, the monsoon is likely to cover other parts of the state within the next 48 hours.
The state is expected to experience normal rainfall this year.
