Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon withdrew from some more parts of the country on Saturday and the conditions are favourable for its withdrawal from other parts including Odisha in next 2-3 days.
In its evening bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the monsoon has withdrawn from some more parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar. The withdrawal line passes through Motihari, Gaya, Daltonganj, Ambikapur, Mandla, Indore, Gandhinagar, Rajkot and Porbandar.
Conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from most parts of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar; some more parts of Gujarat and Chhattisgarh and some parts of Maharashtra, Odisha and West Bengal during next 2-3 days.
Low pressure over Andaman
The IMD also said the cyclonic circulation persists over north Andaman Sea and its neighbourhood extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level.
Under its influence, a low pressure area is very likely to form over the region during next 48 hours. It is likely to become more marked and move westnorthwestwards towards South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coasts during subsequent 4-5 days.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Gajapati.
Day-2 (valid from 0830 hrs of 10.10.2021 up to 0830 hrs of 11.10.2021)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Koraput.
Day-3 (valid from 0830 hrs of 11.10.2021 up to 0830 hrs of 12.10.2021)
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput
