Bhubaneswar: Even as pre-monsoon rains continued in Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that conditions are favourable for the monsoon to advance into the state in the next 2-3 days.
According to the midday bulletin, the state may experience Nor’wester storm till June 14 due to a trough from cyclonic circulation over East Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam across northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Sultry weather conditions may also prevail at isolated places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda and Nayagarh till June 12.
The MeT further predicted a fall in the day temperature by 2-3 degree across Odisha after 4 days.
