Bhubaneswar: With the monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly beginning from September 1, all MLAs and Assembly staff will undergo the COVID-19 test from August 29, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro told the media on Thursday.
In view of the pandemic, it will be mandatory for all MLAs and their drivers as well as all staff of the State Assembly to undergo the COVID test during these three days.
“The COVID test will begin inside the Assembly premises from August 29. Those testing negative will be allowed to enter the Assembly building. Those who have not been vaccinated will also not be allowed to attend the session,” Patro added.
