Bhubaneswar: The several parts of Odisha already receiving rainfall, southwest monsoon is likely to advance into more parts in next 3 days.
The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its evening bulletin on Friday, said the northsouth trough from Northeast Bihar to interior Odisha persists at 3.1 km above mean sea level. The monsoon further advanced into remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and some more parts of Bihar on the day.
It further said conditions are favourable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of Madhya Pradesh,
Chhattisgarh and Odisha during next 3 days. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in some districts of Odisha in next 24 hours.
The IMD has also forecast light to moderate rain or thunderstorm in several districts of the state for next 5 days. The intensity of rainfall is likely to increase from June 20, it added.
