Bhubaneswar: After low pressure-triggered heavy rainfall lashed most parts of Odisha last week, the southwest monsoon is showing signs of weakening, said sources in the regional meteorological centre of India Meteorological Centre (IMD) on Wednesday.
Barring scattered rainfall at few places over north and coastal Odisha, the weather is expected to remain dry in many parts of the city during the next 24 hours, the sources said.
The weatherman has predicted that the circulation is likely to improve from July 29. Under its influence, many parts of the state would receive moderate to heavy rainfall for a period of two days.
